34th Annual Clark’s Christmas Kids Raises Over $1.3 million to Fulfill Wish Lists Foster Children in Georgia

ATLANTA (December 27, 2024) – This month, Clark Howard and Cox Media Group Atlanta’s 95.5 WSB (WSB-AM/WSBB-FM), helped to fulfill the Christmas lists of nearly 9,000 children in foster care in Georgia through the Clark’s Christmas Kids program.

Now in its 34th year, Clark’s Christmas Kids continued its mission to ensure that every child in the Georgia foster care system has at least one gift on Christmas day. This year the program raised over $1.3million which will provide over 25,000 gifts to children in Georgia. The program is a partnership between 95.5 WSB, Clark.com, Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS), The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia and Walmart.

People from all over North Georgia and beyond donated to Clark’s Christmas Kids in 2024, through ClarksChristmasKids.com or in-person at the three Walmart events and 95.5 WSB live broadcasts.

“I am so excited that our listeners did it again,” said Clark Howard. “This year our listeners generosity meant that every child in foster care got three gifts they wished for this Christmas. Our listeners should know that this is the most successful and longest running effort in the United States to make Christmas come through for children in foster care. If you gave this year, please take a quiet moment Christmas morning to think about the child or children you bought for, and think about what a difference you’ve made in their lives. I know next year, our 35th year, will be our best ever.”

“Because of the generosity of the WSB listeners nearly 9,000 foster kids across the state of Georgia will wake up Christmas morning with presents under their tree. I am so proud of the entire 95.5 WSB team that embraced this amazing cause and poured their hearts and souls into making the holidays a special time for these deserving children,” said Ken Charles, 95.5 WSB Director of Branding & Programming.

Details on the program can be found at WSBRadio.com.

Thanks to our partners at Walmart, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia and Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services for making this possible. And thank you to Findlay Roofing, SCANA Energy, Rocco’s European Garage and many other donors for their generous contributions.
