How is my payment calculated?

We average your 12 previous bills and calculate the projected cost of energy for the next 12 months, then divide your predicted energy use into 12 equal payments.

Will my bill show my actual charges or just my Budget Billing payment?

You will only be asked to pay your Budget Billing amount plus any non-budget charges, such as the Amount Due. However your bill will show the energy you used and all actual charges for the billing period.

Additionally, your billing statement includes a Budget Billing summary of actual usage charges and payments over the last 13 months to help you stay informed of your true account balance.

Can my monthly budget amount change during the year?

Yes, your budget billing plan will be periodically reviewed over the course of the year, which may result in your monthly budget amount changing due to rate changes or a significant change in your actual natural gas usage.

When is my monthly budget amount recalculated?

Your monthly budget amount will be reviewed periodically throughout the year to determine if a recalculation is needed. If an adjustment is necessary, you will receive a communication explaining the adjustment.

What if I pay more than my actual billing amount?

Any payment amount over the Amount Due on your monthly billing statement would result in a credit balance to be applied to your next bill.

What if I pay less than my actual billing amount?

A payment amount under the Amount Due on your monthly billing statement could result in a late payment charge of $10 or 1.5%, whichever is greater. You may also be removed from Budget Billing or your service could be disconnected.

What if I miss a payment?
