SCANA Energy’s November Organization of the Month is Covenant House Georgia. SCANA donated $5,000 to support their mission to provide comprehensive support to youth experiencing homelessness and escaping trafficking.

Covenant House Georgia is more than just a shelter, it’s a home with loving support for these youth.

They have a crisis shelter for those in immediate need, but they don’t stop their support there. Covenant House Georgia also has apartments where the youth can live in peace and safety as they begin their journey to independent living. They also offer a community service center, educational support, job and life readiness programs, and more. These programs allow these youth to be as prepared as possible for independent life.

In addition to the company’s donation, SCANA Energy employees also went to Covenant House GA to volunteer. Along with staff from the Atlanta Dream and Honeywell, the employees helped pack lunches, decorate the space for the holidays, sort clothing donations, and make friendship bracelets. They enjoyed getting out and learning more about the organization while helping out.
