Organization of the Month: Reflections of Trinity

Oct 17, 2024, 10:00 by Caralin Stepp

In honor of Childhood Poverty Day on October 17, SCANA Energy’s October Organization of the Month is Reflections of Trinity. SCANA donated $5,000 to support their mission to provide food and basic needs for those living in poverty.

Reflections of Trinity is working to ensure no family in the Atlanta area goes hungry. In addition to providing free nutritional groceries at their food pantry in Powder Springs, they offer food pantry delivery to senior HUD housing communities.

Additionally, they provide benefit support, helping community members figure out what they are eligible to receive. They guide them through new and renewal applications and give them advocacy support as they go through the process for programs like SNAP, WIC, and more.

Reflections of Trinity also has a thrift store in Powder Springs along with an online store.  Anyone can donate and/or shop at Trinity Thrift Store, funds go toward supporting their programs. Community members in need can also visit the store to receive clothing, furniture, and household necessities at no charge.

Since their founding in 2000, Reflections of Trinity has provided over 585,000 members of the community with over 13 billion pounds of food. To learn more about their incredible work, visit reflectionsoftrinity.org.
