In honor of National Women’s Month, SCANA’s March donation of $5,000 went to the Atlanta Women’s Foundation (AWF). As the only public foundation dedicated only to women in Georgia, the AWFprovides funding and resources for other nonprofits that support low-income women and girls.

The AWF prioritizes its focus on the core issues of Economic Empowerment, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Workforce Development. The organization conducts research on these topics to inspire strategies and formulate advice for their non-profit partners. Through a unique method of grantmaking called the Collective Impact Approach, the AWF brings organizations together to hold collaborative workshops, planning sessions, and peer-to-peer sharing.
