Phone Scam Alert

Scammers are always an issue, but it seems they’ve been working harder to take advantage of people during the pandemic. The most recent scam involves phone calls from individuals claiming to be from your energy provider, demanding payment. They’re hoping you’ll share your personal and financial information, and send them money. While SCANA Energy may call you to avoid your service being disconnected, we will clearly identify ourselves and will have information about your service. We provide written notifications prior to any disconnection so, if the call is the first time you’ve heard of a possible disconnection, it is very likely a scam. If the caller demands payment via a gift card, a reloadable cash card or cryptocurrency, it is a scam. When in doubt, do not share any information with the caller. Hang up and call us at 1-877-467-2262.

Following are the latest updates on our operations.

Call Center Hours: 1-877-467-2262
