Pricing & Rate Plans

Senior rate plans are available to customers 65 years of age and older. These special discounted fixed and variable rate plans are available through the call center only. Listed below are the current residential rates, effective August 5, 2008.

Senior Rate Plans

SCANA Senior Variable (New and Existing Customers) $1.449 per therm	A variable rate plan with no contract required.* This rate plan has a $5.75 monthly customer service charge.

SCANA Senior 12 Month Fixed Rate (New and Existing Customers) $1.259 per therm	A fixed rate plan that requires a 12-month contract.** This rate plan has a $5.75 monthly customer service charge.

*New variable rate customers will receive the rate in effect on the first day of their billing cycle. Prices are subject to change on the 5th of every month. The charges for natural gas consumption are calculated using the rate in effect on the first day of the billing cycle multiplied by the therm usage for that period. Service is subject to credit approval.

** By signing up for a fixed rate plan, you are guaranteed a fixed therm rate for 12 months. SCANA Energy uses billing cycles to determine the length of a fixed rate plan. A billing cycle is approximately one month, but the actual number of days may vary with each billing cycle. Customers who establish service may receive an initial statement for less than a complete billing cycle or month. In order to receive that rate, you must commit to the rate plan for a specified period of time. If you choose to cancel before the specified period of time is complete, there is a $50 exit fee that may have to be paid in addition to your current balance. Service is subject to credit approval.
