The SCANA Pre-Pay Plan is tailored to residential consumers who do not meet SCANA Energy’s credit requirements for SCANA Fixed and Variable rate plan products. Consumers who complete the sign up process and meet certain credit criteria will be offered the Pre-Pay Plan as an alternative to the Regulated Provider.

The Pre-Pay Plan is a variable priced plan where the price per therm is subject to change monthly. Fixed rates are not available under the Pre-Play Plan. The monthly customer service charge is $9.95. No deposit is required.

The initial bill will be mailed within 7 days of the time service is requested and will contain a forecasted consumption charge for the next billing cycle based on historical usage and price per therm, forecasted AGL pass-through charge, customer service charge and connection or other fees, as applicable.

For all bills after the initial bill, current charges will consist of the Pre-Pay amount for the next billing cycle plus the actual consumption charges incurred from the current billing cycle plus your actual customer service charge and your actual AGL pass-through charge, as well as state and local taxes. For all bills after the initial bill, the amount due will be adjusted to reflect any payments that have been applied to the account including any previously paid Pre-Pay amount.
