October 5, 2011 - Atlanta, GA –- Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed has presented SCANA Energy with The Phoenix Award, the highest honor that the mayor can bestow upon a citizen or organization, for 10 years of partnership with the City of Atlanta.

Reed praised SCANA Energy for having “done outstanding work for the low-income and elderly residents of Atlanta.” SCANA Energy has partnered with the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department and the Mayor’s Office of Constituent Services to donate thousands of fans, help establish cooling stations, and provide valuable educational resources. The mayor applauded SCANA Energy “for its dedication and commitment to assisting the residents of our community.”
