April 17, 2003, Atlanta, GA - SCANA Energy's Homework Center at Pepperell Elementary in Rome is holding its first Teacher-Student Recognition Day on Wednesday, April 23. The event, which will begin at 3:15 p.m., will be held in the homework center at 270 Hughes Dairy Road.

Now in its fourth year of operation at Pepperell, the SCANA Energy Homework Center will recognize the accomplishments of its teacher, Mandy Brackett, as well as the academic achievements of its most improved students. "As part of SCANA Energy's ongoing commitment to the communities we serve in Georgia, we are proud to continue our support of the educational efforts in Rome and are pleased to recognize the teachers and students of Pepperell with this extraordinary day," said Terry Brown, SCANA Energy regional manager for the north Georgia area.
